Morel Introduces the "Octave-Octwin 5.2M"
New Family Member Offers a Sublime Listening Experience With a Different Look

Morel has good news for ardent music lovers. Its award winning Octave-Octwin 5.2-designed for connoisseurs of sublime sound and the aesthetically astute - now has an offshoot offering similar acoustic characteristics at a reduced price.

The company's Octave-Octwin 5.2M will be bowing on the world's stage this coming September at CEDIA (Booth 1336). The difference between Octave-Octwin and the new Octave-Octwin 5.2M lies in its enclosure. "We understand that many serious music listeners are more interested in sublime sound than in outstanding external aesthetics, " explains company founder and CEO Mordechai Meir. "Now that we've developed the Octave-Octwin 5.2M we're able to offer top-of-the-line listening pleasure with an attractive wood casing for greater economic efficiency. Made out of MDF, the Octave-Octwin 5.2M has a black piano finish. Retailing at $2,400 per pair, it is significantly lower in cost than Morel's premier Octave-Octwin 5.2 model that retails at $4,400.

Listeners can be assured that the same engineering know-how and superb acoustic performance that gained MOREL's Octave-Octwin 5.2 system international acclaim are at work once again with the new Octave-Octwin 5.2M. Lying at the heart of the Octave-Octwin 5.2M systems is the unique woofer and tweeter that Morel specifically designed for the system. Based on Morel's EVC™ (External Voice-Coil) technology, Octave-Octwin 5.2M's woofer and tweeter have a large diameter, aluminum voice coil. Using Morel's double magnet motor, Octave-Octwin 5.2M's tweeter is equipped with two neodymium magnets, while its woofer has hybrid double neodymium and ferrite magnets. The woofer's voice coil is 75mm (3") in diameter, enabling a high power handling and a large excursion for successfully producing bass notes at the lowest octaves. Meanwhile, Octave-Octwin 5.2M's tweeter has a soft dome and an unusually large acoustic radiating surface area. This combination makes the tweeter ideal for high power handling and reproduction of a wider frequency response in the low, mid- range region. Octave-Octwin 5.2M's crossover is a first order type with a low crossing point of 1400Hz.

There's no doubt that the Octave-Octwin 5.2M has the right combination: Distinctive design, acoustic engineering capabilities and attractive price. With this new system, Morel is proving once again that it's the company that speaks to its listeners.
