Morel Diversifies Its Award-Winning SoundSpot Systems

Las Vegas, Nevada, January 5, 2006 - Morel, a leading loudspeaker and drive unit manufacturer known for innovative technology and design, has succeeded again in combining sophisticated style with superb sound. Morel will present its new round SoundSub 9: a sub that complements the SoundSpot satellite systems; Applause MKII, Stream MKII and Nova MKII at CES 2006.

The new stylish addition to the SoundSpot family is a powered active subwoofer, 20" (50 cm) diameter slim, round design. The SoundSub9 is an extremely shallow, compact, reflex-loaded subwoofer. It is designed to deliver full bass impact along with the explosive dynamics of a rich home theater experience.

The SounSub9 is complemented with its own floor stand as well as rigid on-wall mounting bracket. The subwoofer can also lie flat on the floor or under the sofa in a "side" firing position. Although suitable for any home theater system, an emphasis has been placed on ideal acoustic-visual integration with the Morel SoundSpot speakers. A high-quality 100W amplifier drives the SoundSub9.
