Morel Is Expanding Its Award-Wining Octave-Octwin System

Las Vegas, Nevada, January 5, 2006 - Morel - leading loudspeaker and drive unit manufacturer known for innovative technology and design - is expanding its Octave-Octwin series. The well-recognized Octave-Octwin family now has a new center speaker and subwoofer. "Responding to the demands of our customers, we have expanded our top-of-the-range system and engineered it to offer the perfect home theatre experience," explains company founder and President Meir Mordechai.

The same engineering know-how and superb acoustic performance that gained Morel's Octave-Octwin 5.2 system international acclaim is at work once again with the new Octave-Octwin Home Cinema System. At the heart of the new system are the subwoofer and center:

The Octave Center, a full-range center speaker, consists of three 130 mm (5 1/4") woofer units and a wide-range tweeter. The construction is based on the integration of the center speaker in the Octave system, delivering the same sound characteristics as an Octave speaker with higher power handling and enhanced bass impact. The construction of the tweeter, placed vertically above the woofer serves to avoid horizontal dispersion problems typical to many center speakers.

The Octave Subwoofer is an active subwoofer that effortlessly delivers bass frequencies with the quality, dynamic impact, and fidelity of the original recording. The Octave sub has an isobaric subwoofer (dual woofer configuration). Its rear-vented double-magnet system and Aluminum Hexatech voice coil allow for deep bass response. The subwoofer matches the design of the Octave speakers, making them ideally suited for both for stereo and home theater set up.
