MOREL UPGRADES IN-WALL INSTALLATIONS THROUGH A HARMONY OF BENEFITS
"Harmony 10": Morel's New, Low-Frequency In-wall Subwoofer is the First Step in the Company's Ambitious 3-Stage Development Program.
MOREL - Booth 1430 Dome - one of the world's leading loudspeaker and drive unit manufacturers known for innovative technology and design - will be using CEDIA as the venue for unveiling its new Harmony 10 in-wall subwoofer.
The latest member of the company's Harmony series, Harmony 10 meets today's demands of the custom installation market. A state-of-the-art architectural subwoofer, Harmony 10 is especially suitable for retrofit in-wall installations, making it the ideal solution for completed smart homes. "With HARMONY 10, Morel proves once again that it is in perfect sync with installer needs and with the acoustic requirements of today's smart homes," stresses MOREL company founder Mordechai Meir.
Easy to install, HARMONY 10 features Morel's new, screw-free Fast Grip installation mechanism that enables installers to quickly and easily fit it in place regardless of the wall thickness. All an installer has to do is cut a hole according to the provided template, then insert the subwoofer top first and finally pull it all the way down until the HARMONY 10 is securely fastened into the wall. In addition, HARMONY 10's 8 Ohm impedance and its MSX 5.6 external passive crossover unit offers greater installation and system design flexibility.
Meir is quick to point out that "Harmony 10 stands up to the technological harmony of our Harmony line." HARMONY 10 is a passive subwoofer made from a 3mm mild steel faceplate that is connected to a 10" driver using Morel's 3" EVC (External Voice Coil) and Hexatech voice coil technology along with a double hybrid magnet motor. Harmony 10's infinite baffle configuration employs Morel's unique C.A.R. filter to increase power handling (180W RMS) and
enable perfect acoustic loading for infinite baffle acoustic cavity -- thereby making it ideal for hollow wall applications. The Harmony 10's driver and its specially designed external crossover ensure complete and smooth integration with the entire Harmony line or any other speaker.
Retailing at $999, Harmony 10 is available in white, black and silver. In keeping pace custom installers, Morel also offers the option of customized colors.
Harmony 10 marks the first phase of Morel's ambitious 3-stage development project. Ilan Wunsh, Morel's Managing Director notes that the company's aim is to be in continual harmony with market demands. "We are mindful that there are two reputations that have to be maintained here - the installer's and ours. We are dedicated to making the installer's life as easy as possible by providing him with a combination of convenience and top-of-the-line quality systems." To achieve this goal, Morel is presently developing stage 2 of its 3-stage project - an in-wall loudspeaker with a separate amplifier that will complement the Harmony 10 subwoofer. As is the case with the subwoofer, Harmony 10's amplifier will also be designed for retrofit installations. Once stage 2 is completed, Morel will then proceed with the third and final stage - an in-wall architectural subwoofer with its own enclosure specifically designed for pre-construction installations.
Smiles Wunsh: "When you remove the last letter of our name you get the word "more", and more is exactly what Morel wants to give its customers. More innovations, more quality, more for your money. I think our goals are in perfect harmony with our capability."
