Ness Ziona, Israel - May 10, 2004
- When Morel introduced the Harmony 10 in-wall subwoofer, it was just the first phase of the company's ambitious in-wall loudspeaker development program. Now, with the introduction of its new Harmony AMP200 amplifier to complement the Harmony 10 in-wall subwoofer, the company offers a total solution designed to integrate perfectly with home theater systems.
"With the addition of the Harmony AMP200 amplifier, Morel goes to the next step in meeting installer needs. The Harmony 10 combination enables installers to achieve optimum performance through this top-quality system," says Morel founder Meir Mordechai.
"This new addition to the Harmony line matches the technological excellence of the Harmony 10 in-wall subwoofer," says Mordechai. The Harmony 10 in wall subwoofer features Morel's advanced technology: it connects to the driver using Morel's EVC and Hexatech voice coil technology along with a double-hybrid magnet motor. The subwoofer employs the company's unique C.A.R (Controlled Acoustic Resistance) filter to increase power handling and enable perfect acoustic loading, making it ideal for hollow wall applications. "Harmony 10 is designed to ensure complete and smooth integration with the entire Harmony line as well as any other speaker," Mordechai notes.
Designed to meet the needs of the custom installation market, the Harmony AMP200 amplifier offer great flexibility. Three signal output modes (Full range, LFE, SUB), 12V trigger input, variable crossover control, and bass boost are some of the key features that make system integration an easier task.
Key features of the Harmony 10 amplifier:
- 220 WRMS @ 4 ohms
- Variable phase and volume control
- Variable crossover control from 40Hz to 1600Hz
- Bass boost at 45Hz ֲ± 3dB
- 12V trigger input
- Auto on/off or constant mode
- Full range/LFE/Sub-signal output mode
- Composite and 5-way binding post inputs
- Rack mountable
- Silver finish
With the second stage of its development program complete, Morel is proceeding with the third and final stage: an in-wall architectural subwoofer with its own enclosure specifically designed for pre-construction installations.
The Harmony series is designed to appeal to installers and consumers alike. "It's the ideal solution for today's market where stylish design and superb sound quality are equally important," says Mordechai.
The Harmony AMP - 200 will be sold seperatley for $499 or with the Harmony 10 subwoofer for $1399.
