Morel launches its new entry level series the Maximo

Ness-Ziona, Israel; April 2010, Morel, a worldwide leader in car audio speaker components and systems since 1975, expands its entry-level product range with a new series – Maximo. Morel invested the same passion, engineering and philosophy that earned its car audio speakers countless awards, in the development of the Maximo line which consists of 2-way component systems and several coaxial speakers.

The Maximo component systems offer a new 25mm (1") diameter soft dome tweeter which employs Morel's external voice coil technology (EVC™), setting new standards for power handling and low distortion while delivering an enjoyable musical sound reproduction. "Morel designed the tweeter to offer great installation flexibility with four different mounting options, making the process effortless and trouble-free."
Maximo bass/midrange units feature a new, ultra high-grade ferrite magnet, which provides increased magnetic flux for improved power handling and greater efficiency. The woofers paper cones, treated with a proprietary coating, are carefully shaped for clean and linear movement during low frequency reproduction, reducing distortion and increasing bass dynamics.
The Maximo component systems use an external 12dB crossover network built using high-grade film capacitors and large ferrite-iron core inductors to eliminate any distortion. Like its more expensive siblings, the Maximo components use a low crossover point to enhance the overall soundstage in a vehicle, providing exceptional height and breadth.
Like the Maximo components, the Maximo Coax inherits of several of the company's innovative technologies. The foundation for the Maximo tweeter is rooted with the same design principles as our hi-end tweeters. Each coaxial speaker features a 19mm (0.8") soft dome tweeter with a powerful neodymium magnet motor. The design, along with high quality film capacitors used in the crossover, suppresses distortion while optimizing off-axis performance and maintaining the “sweet and warm" signature sound only a Morel can produce.
The Maximo Coax woofer incorporates (as in the component system) a new ultra high-grade ferrite magnet that generates increased magnetic flux, thereby increasing power handling and output. At the same time, the more powerful magnet (35% smaller than standard ferrite magnets) affords the Maximo to be smaller in size, providing a shallow mounting depth for easy installation in tight places. The Maximo Coax speakers deliver the powerful sound car audio enthusiasts seek but without the ear fatiguing harshness found in similar priced speakers.
