Morel has great expectations for new Elate™ series
Elate offers the ultimate combination of technological savvy and superior sound.

Ness Ziona, Israel - December 15, 2003 - The new Elate series represents the pinnacle of Morel's component line. "Elate introduces car audio enthusiasts to 2-way and 3-way component systems and woofers featuring the best technological innovations Morel can offer," according Meir Mordechai, Morel's CEO.

Engineered to be utilized in a wide array of applications, the Elate series combines outstanding power handling capability with a compact size. "The new Uniflow aluminum die-cast chassis has a shallow aerodynamic design to minimize sound reflection distortion," comments Mordechai. The large diameter 75mm (3") Hexatech voice coil supports a one-piece DPC shallow cone, enabling the loudspeaker profile to remain low while preventing cone breakup distortion at high levels. "Elate's SW woofers are our solution for deep and accurate bass reproduction," he says.

Morel's signature "sweet and warm" sound comes to the fore with the new MT-23 and its powerful double neodymium magnet and Acuflex coated soft dome tweeter. "The MT-23 is built to perform," says Mordechai, "it utilizes a 28mm (1.1") diameter aluminum Hexatech voice coil to provide better power handling." Its powerful magnet motor, coupled by its low resonance point, makes the MT-23 a highly transient and dynamic tweeter that forms a high and wide soundstage and an accurate image.

For those who demand more, Mordechai recommends the CDM 54, optimized for high-end audio systems. "The CDM 54 soft dome midrange features a large 54mm (2.1") diameter aluminum Hexatech voice coil that drives a soft dome membrane with a larger than normal sound radiating surface, providing the full mid-range frequency spectrum and deep, clear sound," notes Mordechai. "The CDM 54 employs a C.A.R. filter providing an excellent acoustic loading while eliminating the need for a rear chamber."

Morel's new Accuset™ crossover networks and the Accuset™ sound alignment system were designed with installers in mind, enabling easy adjustment of the crossovers with 6dB or 12dB crossover frequency roll off selection and five-different tweeter level settings (ֲ±4dB in 2dB steps). "The Accuset Alignment system is remotely connected to the crossover network enabling crossover settings to be fine-tuned to achieve optimal soundstage and performance from any listening position in the car," explains Mordechai. "Our easy-to-use system enables optimal soundstage and performance."

The suggested retail prices range from $1,199 to $1,499.
