Morel’s R&D team sought to employ architectural elements in designing the Octave, to create a sophisticated and contemporary urbane design in an audiophile-grade speaker, and offer it at a reasonable price-point.
The Octave Signature Bookshelf incorporates Morel’s proprietary TRICO™ construction, which uses three layers of material to yield a particularly warm, natural and accurate sound:
- The enclosure is constructed of MDF, with additional internal bracing
- The outer layer is a 3/16” thick polymer-based substance that acts as an acoustic insulator and creates an extraordinary finish.
- The inside of the enclosure is coated with a bitumen-based substance that acoustically absorbs standing waves and panel resonance.
The Octave Signature Series faithfully reproduces the natural sound of a live musical or cinema performance, to create an emotionally powerful listening experience. Available in piano finish black, white and red, the Octave Signature emits a sense of elegance and beauty, adding panache to any room.
