The CDM-54 is technically and sonically optimized for high-end audio systems.
The CDM-54 midrange utilizes compact and powerful neodymium magnet with a large 54mm (2 1/8") diameter aluminum Hexatech voice coil and a soft dome membrane with a larger than standard sound radiating surface, providing the full mid-range frequency spectrum.
The dome is coated with Morel's special Acuflex coating enabling the reduction of distortion and unwanted resonance.
The unit is rear-vented and has a CAR (Controlled Acoustic Resistance) filter, providing a low resonance point of below 350Hz and excellent acoustic loading without the need for a rear chamber.
The CDM-54 has shallow and compact dimensions, allowing various installation possibilities.
